The book is a response to my environment, experiences and observations.
My observations about ‘Womanhood’ cover marriage, love, the rushed feeling of parenting, recognising your power where there is domestic abuse and the power of mentorship.
When ‘Life Happens’ it just does and we can just observe it – the new year, our neighbours, and the noise around us which can be beautiful and filled with birds singing or ugly with traffic, streetside pastors or construction noise.
I love ‘Walking’, there is so much to see and enjoy in this and in Kampala.
‘Our World’ captures the corruption, the absence of peace, the presence of violence, the entitled and the downtrodden.
My favourite chapters ‘Life and Love’ and ‘Defining Myself’ are my experiences and tributes to my family and friends. The anchor poem of this book is the title of this book and also my favourite ‘ 30 Years This March’.
The book was published in 2021, 30 year after my father passed away in March 1991.
